Techie extraordinaire Patina Welding is transformed into the species of her nemesis, the Compute Bug, in this collection of “On the Fastack” strips from 2007. Her initial horrified reaction gives way to a recognition of the powers she has suddenly acquired and she soon begins using them for good, not evil.

This is all part of a momentous year for the Welding family and the employees of Fastrack, Inc. 

When Ms. Trellis’s cybercriminal ex-husband escapes prison, it’s up to Art to bring him to justice. In this task Art must overcome both the temptations offered by The Dark Side but also his own natural inertia.

Chelonia Spore is voted into the Geek Hall of Fame and her husband Bud becomes part of the Fantasy Computer Geek League. Meanwhile, Wendy battles her personal demons that have become even more threatening in cyberspace.

Ms. Trellis finds a new dimension to conquer in Second Life, and competes with her husband over whose employees have the best morale. On the downside (for her) she’s caught actually committing an act of charity, bringing dire consequences for her reputation.

Finally, we’re introduced to Fastrack’s two newest employees: Yes, the actual Computer Bugs.
